Monday, Aug. 1

First Day of Classes: Have an awesome first day of classes!

Writing Center Consultation: Free, one-to-one help from writing consultants. The overarching goal of each session is to make the you a better writer – not produce a perfect paper.

Daily Campus Tours: Participate in a half hour information session, providing an overview of Syracuse University and the application and financial aid processes. A campus tour will follow the information session, led by a student ambassador from our University 100.

Tuesday, Aug. 2

Writing Center Consultation: Free, one-to-one help from writing consultants. The overarching goal of each session is to make the you a better writer – not produce a perfect paper.

Daily Campus Tours: Participate in a half hour information session, providing an overview of Syracuse University and the application and financial aid processes. A campus tour will follow the information session, led by a student ambassador from our University 100.

Visiting Artist: Hear from visiting artist, Adam Delmarcelle and learn all about his work and what inspires him to create art!

  • Where: HBC Kittredge

College Admission Prep Workshop: The college preparation workshops are designed to help students prepare for their college application processes. Students will have the opportunity to connect with Syracuse University Admissions Representatives.

  • When: 7 – 8:30 p.m.
  • Where: HBC Gifford / Zoom

Barnes Center Extended Hours: The Barnes Center at the Arch will remain open late for Summer College students to enjoy. Students can enjoy the eSports arena, the climbing wall, the main gym, and Indoor Soccer on the Multi-Activity Court (MAC).

  • When: 8:30 – 10:30 p.m.
  • Where: Barnes Center at the Arch

Syracuse University College Fair: Learn about applying to Syracuse University, academic opportunities, campus life, and the experience of being a full-time undergraduate student.

  • Where: Ernie Davis Dining

Thursday, Aug. 4

Visiting Artist: Hear from a visiting artist, Andy Ness about his artwork and his experiences with art around the world.

Twilight Tour: Syracuse University has a lot to offer and we’ve designed a tour that will help you learn more about us and explore the campus. Current students will be on hand, as well as an admissions representative who can answering your questions.

Tye-Die Night: Make some awesome tye die art in Shaw Hall!

  • Where: Shaw Hall

Saturday, Aug. 6

Field Trip to Six Flags Darien Lake: Come with us to visit one of the state’s favorite amusement parks! Darien Lake is New York’s largest water and theme park with rides, thrills, and coasters. Hit the Mind Eraser, Grizzly Run, and the Flotation Station. (Don’t forget to bring your bathing suit, too!). Registration is required.

  • When: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Where: Six Flags Darien Lake (Bus departs from Ernie Davis Dining)

Sunday, Aug. 7

Field Trip to Green Lakes State Park: Spend an afternoon hiking around Green Lakes, taking in the views, relaxing on the beach or even swimming in the beautiful blue-green water! Registration is required.

  • When: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Where: Green Lakes State Park (Bus departs from Ernie Davis Dining)
